Say What?!? - RSD

Image
Hello and happy Monday to you all!  I'm here to share with you my very last make as an EDT design member of Rick St-Dennis.  I have had such a great time for the past year 1/2 and learned so much from Rick as well as from all the wonderful DT. For this last make I was really nervous because I wanted to do a really good job.  The image that I'm playing with really fits me I think lol minus the weird clothes... It's the great  Say what?!?  and I used her as the very 1st page of my new dylusion journal.  I have received this journal a full year ago from the wonderful Paola Jofre.  And because it's a dylusion journal I was having issues actually playing with it.  I know it's silly but that's what it is.  I tend to have trouble using what I totally adore... something to work on. Anyway, I figured this post for RSD would be the perfect opportunity to finally use it! I printed my image really large and colored her with all kinds of different colors that I would

Musical inspiration - RSD style

Image
Hello!  I'm here with a post that made me so very happy!!!  I just ADORE the sound of music and when I saw that this month's DT challenge over at RSD FB group  was about us creating something to do with music. To get to the FB group just click on the image above The image that I used is the fabulous  Sister Jubilata . You can see my video here: And here is the actual make with the request on the left hand side and the page on the right. And here is the page in close up A bunch of scrap piece of papers as well as some washi tape. The nun was colored with my copics.  My happiest found was the tire tread that I used for the stones at the step of the nun. I had lots of fun with this.  I hope that you will be inspired as well. Have a great Wednesday!  There's still a post to come today. Hugs

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone!  Happy that the week is progressing because it means that I'm closer to going to meet my crafty friend Erin this weekend! The image that I used is from Rick St-Dennis and it's just a JOY to color!!!  you can find it here:  Band Kid . The paper is from Basic Grey - Life of the party.  I used a bunch of la la land dies as well and I finished it off with some stars that were in my stash.  The image was colored with my copics. I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Cards in envy  - Boys - that's the case and the card is not thick at all... I really don't know how to embellish boy cards... Craftin desert divas blog  - Masculine Crafty boots challenges  - Masculine Love to scrap challenge blog  - It's a boy's thing Ooh-la-la-creations challenges  - One for the boys That's i

Daisy April RSD - Mixed media junk journal cover

Image
Hello!  It's Tuesday and it was a fabulous long weekend here!!!  Just GORGEOUS and I actually was able to go in the pool yesterday which is pretty amazing because it's really really early in the season and we only got it fully working on Saturday... so yeah all good I'm here to share with you what I made as my cover for a new junk journal for a friend.  I'm trying to make her happy and give her something to look at when she's not feeling well. The great image that I used is from Rick St-Dennis and it's called  April Daisy You can see the making of the journal cover here I had a lot of fun coloring this image with my copics.  The buttons were colored with wink by stella and then I used my gelly roll pen on it. The stencils that I used are from Megan Suarez ( you can find them on etsy)  I used a little tissue paper from a shoe box.  The background of the sentiment is from a spellbinder die and I used a little bow colored with my copics.  The sentiment

Image
Well I'm here with the second make of the day and this time it's some journaling that I did!  I had fun playing with the image  Noah  and  Celestial-collection  for RSD.  The challenge this time for the designers on the FB group of RSD  is to use 2 digis... but I used more.  You can see my process in this video here: And here are the pictures of what I made for my journal.  I used some great napkins, paint, a stencil from My Favorite things as well as paints from Deco art and liquitex. and here are closer views on the 2 pages  And here is the last page with the 2 sentiments - one that I found and the other that I made I'm entering this journaling in the following challenges: 2 creative chicks  - Anything goes A bit more time to craft  - Anything goes Polkadoodle  - Things with wings - there are 2 birds in the Noah image That's it for this post!  Still more to come today!! Altered Playing card doll - RSD

Image
Hello!  I'm back and this time I'm here to share with you something new on my blog.  This is my 2nd doll but I didn't share the 1st one with you yet.  This one I used a great image from Rick St-Dennis this one you can find in the store here .  I thought that head would be awesome for a little altered card doll. I'm part of a FB group that you can find here .  And saw such great inspiration.  However when I went to do mine I thought it was a lot more difficult to make... because let's be honest here!  A playing card is not exactly the most flattering of figures for a woman... I'm pretty sure that no one wants to be that rectangle from shoulders to hip lol So I had to find a way to camouflage that she had no shoulders.... that's when I thought of some sequin ribbon that I had it was the perfect accessory for this lady.  I also found her arms in a Sears Catalogue, the dress was part of an Elle magazine cut out and the legs from another.  I added some washi

Skull Ka bob - RSD metal magic FB challenge

Image
Hello everyone!  It's time for me to share with you my make for the FB challenge over at RSD which is all about metals this month. When I thought of metal it made me think of my weekend not long ago where my internet provider totally MESSED up....  I had told the nice lady that called to ask how my service was that it was going slow and how we were not using the TV service as much either.  She offered to make my internet service faster and cheaper and my tv service cheaper!  Boy was I excited about that.  This was the Friday night.  On Saturday morning while I was out to do an errand a technician showed up.   And since there was no adult home he just said that he couldn't do the job and left. When I got home and I heard this news I was very surprised because that lady had never mentioned that a technician needed to come over... And what was my surprise?!?  Well the internet and tv didn't work.... so now I was getting upset.  I called in support and the 1st respo

Morning Goddess Carla - RSD

Image
Hello everyone!!!!  It's time for a new inspiration post from me!  And I'm finally doing something new for my coffee book!  This time it's using a great digi from RSD called  Morning goddess carla . She totally reminded me of little Mrs Roper from 3s companies :) I used to love watching those as a child :)  yeah.... I was YOUNG! I have made a little video of the process that I did for this make and you can find it on Youtube here And here are the closer look at what I made.

Heart and/or Arrows - RSD challenge midway post

Image
Hello!!!!  It's time for my post about the great new challenge on FB for Rick St-Dennis !!!  And for this month it's about Heart and/or Arrows. When I heard about this I thought it would be great to use the super cute little  Rag Doll 2  And right now it's on sale for only 1.5$!!!!! So I decided to make a little ATC and here it is I sent it to Rick St-Dennis for his review!  He said that it was nice but he offered me a challenge... to make more using the same digi and making the digi 1/3 bigger everytime!  Now I'm always up for a challenge.... so here are my makes.  And of course when I thought about that challenge.... I just had to come up with a story not just put them random. Here they are in order:  The final one  And finally the set of them all. I colored all of them with my copics.  The backgrounds were done with some gelatos and water and my fingers lol messy but so fun.  The stamping was done using a stamp from Paper Artsy.  I used some

Art will set us free - Rick St-Dennis

Image
Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a great creative weekend.  Yesterday my day was spent mostly doing errands... and getting glasses for 2 of my youngest kids :(  The good news is that now they will see well and they are looking very handsome with the glasses! However this meant that I really didn't have much time to create.  I found some time to play with a great digi from Rick St-Dennis called  Art will set us free . Here's a little video to share with you my process: Here is the pictures for you.

Euro Girl Denise the Artiste - Rick St-Dennis

Image
Hi everyone!  Hope you are all doing fabulous.  Today I'm here to share with you a very messy little journaling out of the box that I made for Sparkle and Glitter blog using the fabulous  Euro Girl Denise The Artiste . I say journaling out of the box because I have been making little journaling cards to place into an old disquette box.  I still have to embellish the box but I think it's very fun to make those little tiny journaling cards.  I'm using an old kid's game to journal on!  So recycling at it's best!  Love when I can transform something. Anyway I have made a little video of my process including my finger painting :) And here's the little card for you to see. The image was colored with my copics and then fussy cut out.  I used some die cuts made with my Impression obsession die as well as a bunch of different sentiments that I have cut out of magazines. The splatters were done with a toothbrush. I had lots of fun making this as you can s

Rick St-Dennis - Zombie Choir boy

Image
Hello!  It's time for me to host the  Airless Chamber  and I wanted to share with you what I have created.  I love journaling but there are days when it's harder to have inspiration. So I prepared a little Out of the funk Jar with the fabulous Chorus Boy.  Unfortunately the digi that I used is now retired but you can find some other great ones in the shop  here . I have also made a little video that you can find here And here's a closer look at the jar that I recycled.  It was previously the house of nuts.... bwahahahahah fitting right?!?

Sparkle and Glitter progressive challenge - January midway post

Image
It's time to share with you some inspiration to get you to participate in the latest progressive challenge over at  Sparkle and Glitter challenge . For my make I had decided to play with the fabulous  Portia .  I have to say that I really really really adore the fab hat ladies that Rick does!!!!  And this one is totally awesome. I had purchased a little brass frame in need of love at the thrift store and I decided to update it to frame her :)  You can see this on the following video. I have put this little frame up in my Etsy store here .  I used a bunch of different paints on it and to really get the process well it's better if you go and check it out on Youtube :) But here it is.  The image itself was colored with my copics.  I used my Gelly Roll all over the fur and the furry part of the hat!  I used my Nellie's ovals to cut out the image and I used some peeled paint distress ink on the edge.  I put it on a paper that I thought would be perfect for th

Easter Buddies - Rick St-Dennis

Image
Oh my... I almost forgot to post my make on the Sparkle and Glitter blog today!!!  Time is just getting away from me because with the holidays I'm trying to finish everything and running out of hours in the day!!!! The good news is that with this cute little make using  Easter Buddies  I finally finished the calendar that I was making for my grandmother!!!  I was missing the month of March and I figured that this cutie would be perfect for it since Easter is in March in 2016. The base of this calendar page was a cereal box and you can see some of the writting through the paint but I think it adds a nice element without having the book paper!  The paper is all a collage of papers from my stash as well as some purple washi tape because I wanted to bring some more of the purple from her dress to the right hand side. I colored the image with my copics and I fussy cut her out.  I really love how cheerful this turned out to be but with this cutie I don't think it could hav

So I decided to make something different... a little card that would be on the fence to both! :)  1/2 is Halloween and 1/2 is Christmas!!!

Here's the look of them and I realized afterwards that the creepy elf has a little ribbon in his face....maybe he was hidding?  I was thinking while making t

Ain't you never seen a gift before

All through the week I was coloring at night a great new Creepmas image from Rick St-Dennis called  Aint you never seen a gift before  and I had something in mind as a little decoration. And tonight I finally finished it off!!!!  I even did a little video of how it went to finish it off. And here is my little make. I used a little black board sign that I got for very cheap at the dollar store.  I thought it was just super fun to use to make this! The image was colored with my copics.  And I used a chalk marker to write in the sentiment. I'm entering this in the following challenges: Hiding in my craftroom  - Any holiday Crafting-with-friends  - Anything goes Left of center challenges  - Nothing square - well it's not square but it's also pretty
