New fan page challenge - Simply Betty - Zombies vs Normal

There's a new fan page challenge over at the FB group Simply Betty and you will totally love love love those new digis and I'm sure that you will as well!

So it's about Zombies vs normal and it's Victorian images vs Zombie ones!  How cool right?!?

The 1st make that I'm doing is with Victorian Betty.

Show your digi Love - April challenge

I'm here today with 2 makes for the Show your digi love!  I couldn't resist making a few :)  I figured I would get a Christmas make at the same time.

This month we want you to celebrate SBS, Slinky Tart and Paper Shelter

Here's my 1st make using Zombie Babe Betty from Simply Betty.  I thought she would be perfect in my altered children book about coffee!

On this I used some acrylic paint.  I added some great washi tape that my wonderful friend Erin gave me!  I did some stenciling with my Dylusions skulls small.  I used my ice chai gelato on the sentiment.  I also added some book text that I had used to empty my brush with.  I love the look that it gives to the paper afterwards.  I used my big white pitt pen afterwards.  The sentiment that I used with this comes from Create with TLC.

Here's a closer look at the great digi colored with my copics( E41,E42, E43,E55, BV13,BV08,BV02,BV01,BV000,BV0000, R22, W9,W7,W5 and my C8)
And a closer look at the sentiment that I used

For my 2nd make I went super fast an easy making a quick little Christmas card using Yep I have my method comp from Paper Shelter.  It's already colored.  So just had to size it properly on a word document print cut and use some added bling to it!  Voilà!

The sentiment on that one is also from Create with TLC and it was cut using my Label 13 from Spellbinder.

I'm entering my little altered book in the following challenges:

  1. Everybody-art-challenge - Use a bookpage - I did and I used an actual Children book as the base :)
  2. Sweet stamps blog - Anything but a card

I'm entering my little Christmas card in the following challenges:

  1. Digichoosday  - CAS (can't  get much more CAS than this)
  2. Eureka stamps - Add some bling
  3. 12 months of christmas link up - Optional color theme here it's not the typical Christmas colors

Hope you have a great day!  There's one more post coming and you will not want to miss it!

Hugs

Rosey Hearts Midway Challenge reminder - Things with wings

Hello everyone!  I'm here to share with you my midway post for the Rosey Hearts Challenge!

It's a super easy one it's things with wings!

I have made a few little aprons and I had one that was left over.  My youngest son was super excited to be able to get it :)  So I made this on specially for him with his name and such using a super cute little image from Rosey Hearts called Dragon.

I figured this would be different from the usual stuff and it's something with wings right?!? :)

Here's my son wearing the apron (I don't like to share pictures of my kids online so his face is missing lol)

I colored up the image using my copics.  Then I scan it and printed it on a transfer sheet so very fast and super easy!

Vivian - Rosey Hearts

Oh my world... I've become the worst blogger EVER!  I'm doing what the doctor told me to do which is nothing if that's what my brain is feeling like doing... but in the process I have totally become ADDICTED to this Youtube channel it's from a fellow Canadian and she just has the most amazing and cheapest ways of doing things!!!  Now I want to try it all out.. the only issue is that I've got no energy to do it lol

But it's good for my soul to watch this.  However because of this I haven't been blogging much and I didn't blog this journal that I made this weekend.  YUP still journalling because it's good for me to put stuff on paper.  I'm finding out that this is really good for my soul as well.

And of course it's a great way to get messy!!!

For this journal I used the great image from Rosey Hearts called Vivian.  I really love that image it totally reminded me of my daughter and well the teenage attitude that goes with her lol

And if you want the chance to win this image you should join in on the candy over at the Rosey-hearts blog.

Let's save the turtles

I'm here to share with you a little journal page that I made using the fab new digi that you can get at Faery Ink.

You can read more about what Amanda is doing for them :) here.

I thought this would be great inspiration and I was not mistaken.  I got all dirty with my new Brushos I used the Turquoise and the Emerald green (got a feeling that I will be emptying those faster than the others)

Little card album

I'm back!  This time to share a project that I made and that includes 2 images for progressive challenges that I participate in.  I don't want to miss this and cutting it close to the deadline... that seems to be my new me!  Always last minute....  It's more the blogging that takes time and well don't do it as much!

For this I followed the fab tutorial from Paola Joffre that you can find here.  If you haven't subscribe to her videos you really should they are super interesting and you learn lots.  You should also join the My Whimsical little world FB group it's a riot in there.
This album will be for my stepmom.  So I'm sharing the inside and will be sharing the top for a DT post later on.

As you know if you have followed me my stepmom loves coffee and rabbits :)
So I used an image of a rabbit that was part of the trio of images from the Heart stamps last month as part of the progressive challenge.  The little girl with coffee is from Gerda progressive challenge.

The paper is from Head over heels by Lily Bee design.  I used a bunch of tags from Fancy Pants -Collecting moments and Prima tag me.  We will be using those to write our message to my stepmom because there wasn't much room for it in the album itself.  I added some metal coner embellishments and put a bunch of ribbons to the tags.

Here's a closer look of to the tags that are next to the little rabbit.  I put some sentiments from Create with TLC throughout the book and the back of the tags.  I also used a sentiment from Gingers house
And here are the other tags were we will be writing.  I used the super cute little digi from this month's progressive challenge over at from the Heart stamps and used my fancy tag 2 to cut out one of the sentiments that came with it!  There are also more sentiments from Create with TLC

I'm entering this little card/album in the following challenges:

  1. From the heart stamps - Stamp of the month challenge
  2. Gerda steiner designs - Progressive challenge
  3. Digitally sweet challenges - Anything goes
  4. Simply papercrafts for all occassions - Anything goes or lots of layers well both :)
  5. The stamping boutique challenge blog - Ribbon and or lace - used lots of ribbon
That's it for me folks.  Hope you have a great Sunday.

Hugs

Zombie Lady - SLS line inspiration

Hello everyone! I've gotten totally HOOKED to doing some mixed media!  It's so fun and dirty lol  For this inspiration post over at SLS lines I'm sharing something I made using  Zombie Lady.  I thought she would be perfect for my little altered children book about coffee!  And let's just say this is nothing like a child's book now :)

Let's be honest... lots of us would look like zombies if we didn't have some coffee in the morning... and even then bwahahahaha

Merry Deer - Doodle Pantry

Hello everyone!  It's a sad day for us... it's the service of my FIL and while my family is there to celebrate the great man that he was I'm at home because with the depression it's not good right now for me to be under too many emotions... my brain seems to end up going crazy afterwards.  So I did the right decision and staying home but I'm sad.

Anyway that's not why you are here right?!?  You are here because I am posting a little card for Doodle Pantry.  This time around I'm getting ahead of the Christmas time.  I'm trying to do a few a month this way I will have plenty when it comes Christmas :)

The set that I used this time around is Merry Deer
Merry Deer
I just think this set is so elegant!
The sentiment is from Salutations françaises  It's my go to set for all occasions love it!

Here's my card with the precolored digi

Oddball - FB April challenge reminder

Hello!  It's Thursday and I have NOTHING planned today!  I will be resting and doing what the doctor, psychiatrist and psychologist tell me to do!  With the exception that the psychiatrist said I have to stop giving stress to my brain.... I need to let it rest... that means no stress.... if something stresses me out I'm not supposed to do it.  Just as if I was in a hospital.... man that is HARD for a Mom of 4 kids to just do NOTHING.... and not stress about that... lol  And that's what he said "I would tell you to relax but then you will stress about relaxing" bwahahahaha is he a mind reader?!?  Guess he did know what he was talking about.

Anyway enough about me I'm here to share with you my little post for the reminder of the FB challenge going on over here and the challenge is anything goes with a use of Oddball image!  So no reason not to come and play with us!!!!

For my make I used the super cute Image 148

SLS Lines new release - Tired Coffee lady

Hello everyone!  It's time for the new release over at SLS Lines!  And for this one I decided to use 2 images the Tired Coffee lady and Wine lady.  I thought it would be perfect for my little cardboard book that I'm making with some coffee quotes.

I had so much fun making this layout.  I used my Decoart paint for the background.  Then I used my Metallic gold embossing paste with my crafter's workshop mini 4 flowers stencil.
I then sprayed this all with some dylusion ground coffee spray.  I added some washi tape and did the doodling with my FaberCastel dark Sepia pen.  I used my fancy tag 2 die and fussy cut all the images and the sentiments are from  Create with TLC  and from Ginger's house

and this is the other page of the cardboard book
I'm entering this little book in the following challenges:

  1. Pinspirational challenges - Anything goes
  2. Not just cards challenges - anything goes
  3. Stamp and create blog - anything goes
  4. Come and get it challenge - something with a B - Brown and book?  :)
That's it for me for today.  Seeing the psychiatrist today... hope that he can help with my medication and that my depression will soon be a thing of the past!

Paradise of Stamps - Bling

It's time for the midway post over at Paradise of stamps and this time around it's about bling.  This will be my last make for this team!  It's been a pleasure to be part of this team!   I'm looking forward to playing with you guys!

For my make I decided to use Mother's love from artidoodle/Delicious Doodle Etsy store.  I just adore Teri's images :)

I had a request for a newborn baby card and thought this would be totally awesome for it.

Cowgirl Bonnie - Art by Mi Ran

Big hello to everyone!  Hope all is well in your part of the world.  I'm doing again a little monochromatic card for the Art by Mi Ran Inspiration post.  I figured it's fun to challenge myself :)

I really didn't know what sentiment to use with Cowgirl Bonnie and then I had one made just for this image!  I think it's just perfect for her.
Digital Stamp - Cowgirl Bonnie, Digi Stamp, Coloring page, Printable Line art for Card and Craft Supply
Somehow to me it's a lot easier to make a cowgirl monochromatic.... don't know if you think so but to me that screams browns and such.

Blooming blessings

Wow it's been a rough month.... with my Father-in-law in the hospital and passing and then I had to get my little dog Chanel put to sleep yesterday because she wasn't well..... It's been harder with my depression.... just seemed to be all bad news all the time.

But yesterday when I was at the vet for Chanel I saw a beautiful little cat (turning 1 this July) that was still waiting for adoption.  He's this little bundle of raw energy!  Wanting to explore and super cuddly.....  I just had to bring him home.  Now the rest of the pets are upset with me..... Hope that they will adapt like they have to the other family members.  But I have to say that he brought a smile to me that I hadn't had in a long time.  Kinda hard to be sad when there's something purring like a tractor beside you!

Figured I would use this quiet day on my blog to post my card for the progressive challenge of DeeDee Anderson.

Here's my little card  I used the precolored image and kept it really CAS.  I used only left over papers that I had in my stash.

I'm entering this little card in the following challenges:

  1. DeeDee Digis - Progressive challenge
  2. Creative card crew - Sentiment
That's it for this post for today!  Hope you have a great day.  Here it's raining.... and totally grey.... good thing that I have my new little ray of sunshine because it was super hard to get up and not have Chanel follow me like my little shadow....

Gert and Eun - Path of Positivity challenge - Midway post - Growth

It's time for the midway post over at Path of Positivity Challenge and this time around our sponsor are:
SNS Blinkie

It's been a really really hard day today..... I had to get our little dog Chanel put down.... and yeah.... it's been super hard.  But the vet did have some cats that needed to be adopted.... so I figured this would be a great new addition to the family.  So Leonard now joined the family.  The cats and dogs are thinking that we are nuts.... but so did all the others ones before them.... so... lol

The image that I used this time around is Gert and Eun  She reminded me of my amazing friend Cinzia.  I figured that as older friends this is what I would like to be later on!!!!!  We will be on a beach and just enjoy the time together.  So I did a page with her in mind.

Baked with Love - My whimsical little world new release

Well there's a fab new release over at My Whimsical little world and I'm sharing one of the new images with you she's called Baked with love.

Happy B-day Katya - Zumbalicious Katya

This post is a special one made for a great DT friend Katya Bess!  It's her b-day today and I just HAD to make a little card for her!  I wasn't sure that I would make it.... because it's been a pretty hectic time but I really wanted to make her something so hope she likes it!  It's now on it's way to her! :)

To make this I used the great Zumbalicious Katya from Simply Betty

Scribbles Design Challenge - Spring has sprung

I'm late I'm late for a very important date.... yeah yeah... I know you know where it comes from but yeah... I'm late... I'm usually never late!  But let's just say that this week's been really really hard... and I dare to think that Sandy would excuse me being late this time around.  It's time for a new challenge over at Scribbles designs challenge and it's Spring has sprung.

In keeping with my desire to do other stuff than cards I made a little ATC this time around!  I used the super cute Butterfly mason jar.  It was really fun because it's a small digi... not much coloring when you aren't feeling up to it!

Isn't it cute?!?  The ATC based was made with my Cameo Silhouette.  I used some washi tape the background paper is from Creative memories.  I used my Nellie's oval for the sentiment.

I'm entering this little spring ATC in the following challenges:

  1. 2 crafty girls challenges - Anything goes
  2. Crafty cardmakers - Wings
  3. Love to scrap challenge blog - Dots or stripes - did dots
That's it for me for today, well actually I have a little surprise post for a DT colleague.  Hope you have a fab day.

Karleigh Sue Sexy Challenge - Foolish thoughts

Hello!  It's time for a new SEXY challenge over at Karleigh Sue Challenge and for this one I played with the super sexy Naughty Santa.  The challenge is Foolish Thoughts so that can be a lot of stuff... :)

I decided to play and journal with her :)  I printed the image twice so that I could decoupage the hand section and play with it with an added sentiment hidden under the main list and you can see the little button and twine to lift it up.

Sparkle and Glitter Progressive challenge - Midway point

Hello everyone!  It's already the midway point for the progressive challenge of Sparkle and Glitter and even if you haven't been playing you can purchase the cute little digi to play this month here.  She's called Aloha Nui.

I just love love love this image!  I wasn't sure what colors to use for her dress... so I searched the net and found this image and it was my starting point.
I've been doing that a lot lately to get inspiration for colors that I use.  And I'm quite happy with the result.

The East Wind - Some Fibers

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at The East Wind and this time it's about fibers.

To me that sounded right away about a bird!  So I made a double spread in my journal with the image Peace

Top Tip Tuesday - 3 of something

Hello everyone.  It's time for a new challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday.  It's a good thing I'm not last minute because I don't  think I would have been able to craft this time around.... I don't mess a lot of my makes up but the death of my Father-in-law as been hard for my family and well my mind hasn't been much on crafting.

But the good news is that I had this prepared sometime ago so I still get something to share with you all.

The great sponsor for this challenge is

Tip:  Little word sticker sentiment can be the perfect way to finish a simple little ATC.  In this case I used many that I had from left over projects and it was the perfect finishing touch.
