Fan Page Challenge - Simply Betty - Fairies

Wooop wooop it's time for a new Fan page Challenge over at Simply Betty and this time around it's letting it fly with some GORGEOUS Fairies!!!!! Oh my soooo fun to color.

Here are my 2 makes the 1st one is the great Mushroom Rio Fairy.  You can find those new release images to play in the challenge in the store here.

For this little one the paper is from MME - Out of the blue.  I used my Ann's paper Art die to cut the image and the sentiment.  I added some bling from Queen and Co and the mushrooms are done using a great Cheery Lynn dies B365 Fairy Mushroom.  Here's a closer look at the image colored with my copics.

And the 2nd gorgeous fairy that I did is Tulip Fairy Wendy

For her I used Summer Breeze paper from 1st Edition (I have had that stuff FOREVER).  I cut the digi with my Label 39 die from Spellbinder.  The sentiment was done using Quickutz nesting frames.  The flower is my last of the Prima Engraver set :( So sad.... just loooove those but this card called for it...  I added some pearls to the corners and that's it!  Here's a closer look at the digi colored with my copics.
I do hope that this will inspire you to play in the Fan page challenge!!!

I'm entering Mushroom Rio Fairy in the following challenges:

  1. Pennys challenges - Lots of layers
  2. Ema-ginationstation - Anything goes
  3. Through the purple haze challenges - Anything goes

I'm entering Tulip Fairy Wendy in the following challenges:
    1. Southern girls challenge - Get your girly on
    2. Inky chicks - Flowers
    3. Wordart wednesday - Anything goes
That's it for me for today!  Hope you have a fabulous Saturday!

    Hugs

There are soooo many fabulous possibilities with this adorable set.  This time around I used the little mouse with the balloon. I didn't do much because I didn't want to cover the great paper that I was using that was already appropriate!

    Love me birdbrain

oh my world... making this post just in time to participate in the progressive challenge over at From the heart stamps!  Here's my little make using the great freebie that I got from playing last month!

I figured I would send this out to one of the nice ladies that sent me some thinking of you cards.  They have really really help me feel loved and blessed.  I'm not out of my depression but getting better and a lot of it is thanks to my fabulous followers awesome comments!

    Tree - Recycled Christmas

And here's my next entry so I now qualify to get my piece of fabulous paper from the awesome challenge 12 months of christmas.

This time around I'm using another recycled image but the card that this came from gave me 2 images!!!  So it's pretty fun.  And I just love how sparkly this image was.  It's just gorgeous.

I kept this card really really simple.  I just stamped the sentiment.  I used my Quickutz nesting ovals and added some pearls and ribbon from my stash.  The paper is also from Basic Grey - Nordic Holiday.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

    1. 12 months of christmas - I didn't do the twist just the regular Christmas card
    2. Crafty hazelnuts christmas challenge - Anything Christmas
    3. Abc christmas challenge - D is for Die cut
    4. Fab n funky challenges - Let's see some snow
That's it for this :)  YAY made it in time.... lol

    Bird recycling

I've been wanting to play in the challenge 12 months of Christmas link up because you get really great paper just for participating!!!  But I'm still not making cards like I use too.... it takes me forever to make one... man... looking forward to being back!

Anyway so I'm sharing some recycling that I made with some Christmas cards that I got this year.  The images were really awesome and it's something that I have seen Hazel do and I thought it was quite clever.  So I had put some aside last year and they stayed in a drawer.... pretty useless... so this year I made a few and hoping to make more!

I used paper from Nordic Holiday by Basic Grey I'm almost finished that pack...  I used my Large squre, Label 11 Fleur de lis square.  I used some shimmer cardstock by DCWV.  I used a bunch of blings and that's it!  How easy right?!?  But I still think it turned out pretty good.  And it's a great way to reuse something and give it another life.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

    1. 12 months of christmas link up - Christmas card and twist I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus - didn't  do the twist obviously
    2. Crafty hazelnuts christmas challenge - Feature a Creature
    3. Crafty hazelnuts christmas challenge - Anything goes Christmas
    4. Stamps fun-creativity - Frame
I will be back shortly with my next card... need to enter 2 in order to be eligible for that paper :)

    Hugs

Gerda Steiner - Nerdy but nice

    Momento Mori - Simply Betty

In honor of the Steampunk week extravangaza over at Simply Betty Fan group I made a little steampunk card as well!  I hope that you will enjoy it!  You can get some great inspiration as well as prizes in the great hop.

To make this I used the great image Momento Mori.  I just think this image is sooo elegant.

    Doodle Pantry - River Glorious

Hope you are having a good week.  I'm doing good so far.  The new medicine is increasing my energy level... and now well the people around me are scared that I will do too much.  It's true that I tend to spend my energy as soon as I get it lol but what can I say... I don't like just sitting around.  The unfortunate thing is that it decreases quite fast if I'm not careful and well I'm not good listening to my body ahead of time lol another lesson I need to learn I guess!

Anyway enough about me, just thought it might be of interest to those that really do follow my blog regularly (BTW thank you so much for the comments they really do brighten up my day and make me feel loved).  As I'm writing this it's Wednesday and it's snowing YET again... man I can't take this snow anymore!!!!!!!  Hope by tomorrow when this post goes live that it's not.

I needed a sympathy card and I don't know about you but I seem to have the hardest time making those.  So I turned to my go to place for those which is Doodle Pantry.  The precolored image are just perfect for those cards!  And I'm sure you will agree that the set I chose this time around was just awesome for this sad occasion.  It's the beautiful River Glorious.
    River Glorious
It comes with some amazing sentiment for this as well.  So can't get much better than this.

Here's my card that's quite CAS.  I can't seem to find embellishments for this sort of card...

Honey Bunny - Art by Mi Ran

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all doing good.  I'm doing the showcase over at Art By Mi Ran today and I decided to challenge myself to do ANOTHER CAS card with a Art by Mi Ran image... not easy but it's fun to try to get out of your comfort zone.

I'm pretty happy with how Honey Bunny turned out.  My stepmom looooves bunny so I thought this would be a great little hello thinking of you type of card.
Digital Stamp - Honey Bunny, Digi Stamp, Coloring page, Printable Line art for Card and Craft Supply
Instead of focusing on the embellishments that I would use for this card I really spent all my time trying to color this cutie as well as I could and finding the right colors to showcase her.

So when Betty came out with this fabulous image for Erin I just HAD to play along to share with her the great image Erin and Hoot.

Here's the card that I made for Erin!  I really hope that she loves it when I actually send it out to her... the good thing is that I did send her something and a card previously :)

The one that I'm sharing today is Palm Court Hat Lady and I went all out with this card!  Over the top embellishments compared to my regular style... But I kept this fairly monochromatic so I think it really worked.  And I used colors on her that I would not normally use...

Top Tip Tuesday - Rubber/clear stamps only

Hello everyone!  It's time for a brand new challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday and this time around we want you to use some stamps clear or rubber so long as it's not digital :)  I know it can be hard... we tend to use a lot of digis now... but those stamps are bored and need to be used as well!

Our sponsor this time around is the fabulous Bunny Zoe Craft!  Just love that store!  Got lots of fabulous magnolia dies :)

For this make I made some ATCs and I have a little tip to share with you!

Tip: If you don't have a template for making little ATC (artist trading cards) just use plain old playing cards they are exactly the right size for them and it makes for a very easy and cheap template. You can even use them as the actual background for your ATCs.

For my make this time I used a really fun image from Meljen's Design called Birthday cake oopsy bear.

This image reminded me of a funny incident when I was a kid... my grandpa went to get the b-day cake from the pantry.  The cover was on it... and he lifted it just a bit to see the cake.  But at the same time he tipped it a bit.... so yup you can guess it the cake ended up on the floor!  And my grandma was sooooo pissed especially since we were laughing so very hard.  And poor grandpa felt soooo bad and embarrassed... yup good memories!
