Photo inspiration challenge for Open Minded Crafting Fun

Hello everyone!  There's only 2 more challenges left for the Open Minded Fun challenge and I wanted to make sure to participate in both.... but I'm having trouble still crafting and finding the energy and the motto for it....

So I'm late but at least I'm there!  The great sponsors this time around are:
 and

For my make I used a great one from Bugaboo called Chase your dreams that I've had for a long time and it's not the 1st time that I use it!  I really love this sentiment and figured it would be great on the ATC that I was doing and that was part of a Pocket letter that I sent to someone as a Pay it forward type of event.

So the background for the ATC was made using some different inks from Stamping up (Ballet blue, Handsome Hunter, Ruby red and summer sun) and I smudged it on with some makeup pads.  I then added some stamping using my impression obsession stamp dotted argyle.  I finished this off by adding a little border using a sticker border from Basic grey and edging the image that I colored with my tomboy pens with some prima chalk.

I'm entering this little ATC in the following challenges:

  1. Catch the bug blog - Anything goes
  2. Wordart wednesday - anything goes
That's it for today.  Hope your day was good!

Surfer Kody - My whimsical little world

Hello everyone!  I'm here today to share with you a little extra make that I did for My whimsical little world.  If you didn't know you can get a great freebie on the blog.  And there's a progressive challenge on the FB group which will start again soon for the month of July!  You will not want to miss it!!!!

For the month of July we got a break from new releases.... you know get Paola to recharge a bit :)  And while she's going to be doing that we are showcasing some of her awesome digis!  And that's what I'm doing here with the super cute Surfer Kody

I thought this little guy would be perfect for my camping smash album.

I'm pretty happy because if you know smash albums, you know that there are pages with just pictures on them... and therefore you can't really journal anything there.... you might add some pictures but even those unless they are matted would kind of be lost.

When my youngest came back from the last day of school, he had a bunch of books that were only partially used.  And usually those would just go in the recycling bin... but not this year because mommy is trying to recycle and repurpose!  So that's what happen to this graphic paper.

Karleigh Sue challenge - Christmas in July

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at Karleigh Sue Challenge and it comes at the same time as a great new release of image if you want more inspiration go and check it out here. There will be all sorts of goodies there for you!!!!

Ok so I couldn't just work with one image... I had to use them ALL!!!! bwhahahahahah and I decided to use them to make an altered children book for my little niece and nephew :)  they are 3 and I miss them lots but I haven't been good to see them much with the depression and stuff... so this is a way for me to say how I care.

This is what I made for the cover using the super cute Santa's Helpers the paper for the cover is from Beach by Paper house.  I used my sharpie to write the sentiment
Here's the next page using Sweet Stripes.  I used some borders from the dollar store and a die cut from Creative memories.  The papers is the last of a pack that I've had forever.  I used some duck tape as well.

the next page using some MME papers and the super cute Twinkle lights and Mistetoe kisses
then I made it more interactive with the next page using a great pocket from October afternoon and using some project life little papers as well as making a little door with some paper from DCWV - sorry don't remember the set and putting a little brad as the door handle :)  I also used some ribbon from my stash.

And behind this little card there's Peekaboo gift
And behind the little door is No Peeking
and for the next pages it's about food with the great duo Christmas Cocoa and Santa's cookies
Then we have the super cute Toad stool Elf here I used some more DCWV papers as well as some die cuts from Cheery Lynn design
and here's the last 2 pages because it's not because they are having fun that they are not checking..... so I'm using Checking the list and more papers from Paper house - Beach
And here's the back that I made to go with this little book
I really hope that they enjoy this little book from me!

Oddball - FB Anything goes challenge July

Well it's time for another great Anything goes challenge over at the FB group Oddball art stamps and all you have to do is use the great images to enter... so that's super easy.  If you don't have any you can go and shop at the Etsy store here and you can use the code DTVICKY10 and get 10% off!!!!  wooop wooop

As you know if you follow this blog I have really really gotten into journaling I'm totally loving it and using all sorts of books as journals.

I really love this one because it's lined and it's perfect when I want to write a bit more.  It's not as good for wet media... but that's ok because that's why you have lots of journals right?!?

The image that I used this time around is Image 216

Scribbles challenge - Midpoint reminder

It's time to remind you that you still have 14 days to enter our challenge over at Scribbles designs challenge were it's about feathers, fins or frog legs!  And there are so many of all those elements in the stamps that there's no reason for you not to have so much fun with it!

For my make this time around I used the super cute Gone Buggy 2

there's lots you can do with this cool set and I will show you more at a later date... but for now here's what I did with it.  I thought it was a great image for a little ATC to be put in a pocket letter!
I did the background with my gelli plate.  I used my mowed lawn distress ink all around the sentiments and the image.

I'm entering this little ATC in the following challenges:

  1. Cardz 4 guyz - something that start with b- bug
  2. Scrappy hands - Animals
I have one more to share with you today!  Hope you like it!
